About ShikshaHub

हामी नेपाली विद्यार्थी र शिक्षकका लागि बनेका हौं।

ShikshaHub exists so that a student in a village school in Bajhang has the same bilingual learning tools as a student in Kathmandu: free, quick to load on a slow connection, and in the language they think in.

Our mission

Nepal's school curriculum is bilingual by design — English for Science and Mathematics, Nepali for Social Studies and Nepali — and students move between the two every hour. Most digital tools pick one language and stay there, which leaves half of each class working in their weaker language.

ShikshaHub stores both languages in the same record. Every subject, chapter, question and option has an English field and a Nepali field from the start. A student switches language mid-quiz without losing their place, and a teacher writes the quiz once.

Who it is for

Students in grades 6–10

Aged 11–16, in public or private schools. Most will open ShikshaHub on a shared Android phone over mobile data, so pages are kept small and render without waiting on scripts.

Teachers of any subject

No technical background is assumed. If you can copy text out of an AI tool and paste it into a box, you can publish a bilingual quiz.

What we build to

01

Bilingual is the default, not a later release

A Nepali version shipped six months after the English one is not bilingual. Both languages are in the schema, so both ship together.

02

No AI API costs

Teachers use whichever AI tool they already have. ShikshaHub parses the pasted text with a regular expression, so there is no per-quiz cost, no rate limit, and nothing to renew.

03

Free for schools means free

Not free for 30 days, and not free up to 50 students. The hosting, database and email all sit inside free tiers, and that bill is ours.
